Since 1992, CoVision has supported over 3,000 critical meetings and conferences with our interactive groupware processes and tools in groups of 10 to 4,500.  In the late 90s we began supporting online collaborative processes which could engage participants dispersed around the globe.  In parallel, our online survey capabilities have served entire organizations with critical assessments.  Through steady practice and review we have learned how to maximize participation and impact in these areas ...

While supporting both meetings and online processes, an interesting thing happened – clients began to combine our services. For example, the thinking process planned for critical meetings can be started valuably before the meeting, online. The input gathered can directly shape presentations given during the meeting. And teleconference calls, while not as effective as meetings, can be very effective for propelling processes and teams already underway. With a CoVision online project center as a hub, teams can achieve maximum possible focus, coordination, collaboration, alignment and ... results. The chart below shows this effect.

The dotted line shows the normal level of engagement when there is no online hub for a project, nor facilitation or distinct process steps along the way. Coordination is uneven and many team members are on their own to do their part. It's a familiar work mode but marginally effective for handling critical initiatives.

The solid line shows what happens when an online project hub is utilized: much higher engagement of team members between significant meetings. All members have continuous access to core information and can be engaged deliberately via facilitated process steps. Telecon calls are designed carefully to build and sustain momentum – supported by the online project hub – until the next meeting.
